Volu-Sol sells three types of Immersion Oil, Type A, Type B and Hematrak Oil (Type 300). These oils are manufactured by Cargille and are PCB (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) free. American Optical recommends Type A, and Bausch and Lomb recommends Type B. Type B Immersion Oil is approximately 10 times more viscous than Type A. Types A and B come in 1 oz., 4 oz., and 16 oz. bottles.
